I took a timeout here in riomaggiore, one of the five fishing villages nearby La Spezia. Oh my God what a day. Started the day with breakfast after a very bad sleep in the pizzeriaeroom. Freezing all night and the smell was not that good. Like wet dog or something. Ok anyway...the breakfast was croissant with awful jam and a good espresso. After, i went to the boat i was suppose to take to 5 terre. Oh Jesus( sorry all those religions expressions) but here it starts. Maybe 100 french people were going on the same boat. Noone spoke a Word english and they did not see me. Me wearing slippers, and yes i got some blue marks on my feet. Auauau!! and onboard it was cold. No sun, but ok, no rain either, but a lot of wind. Brrrr... Lots of complaining today but this was a crap start. Was thinking my karma made my day like this. Took the boat to the last village, monterosso! It was beautiful and with a beach. But of course toi cold for me to take a swin. An Amazing place. Took Lots of nice pictures! i was also trying local food here. crap!!! Troile with cheese is nothing i would like to recommend. the fresh anchovies was good but i could feel the smell from my mouth, like a cats breath. Yammy! :-)
Then i saw people walking. A walk to the Next village, vernazza. Hmm maybe i should try that. Only ten minutes with a boat, how hard can it be. The Mountaingoat was heading with her slippers on up the stairs, down sine stairs, up again... Hehe... Met some sweedish people and they were looking at my "shoes" and said: look at her, wearing flip-flops. Thats crazy! " hehe they were probably right, but it went good. 90 minutes, maybe 120 minutes later, after plenty stairs up and down the baglady was hot but safe in Vernazza. What a hike!!! What a beautiful view. Dont regret it all!!! That i Recommend for everyone!
I was in verazza for 15 minutes before i was going to take the boat to NeXT port, Manarola. Lots of people again, french! Sorry Tove, i dont like them. Not the french tourists! Yakk!
In Manarola, i went to a restaurant and ate some cheese, drank some redwine and got also som ravioli with pesto and drank some white wine. Relaxed and calm! Delicious!! After a few hours There, i was thinking: it has to better to take the train. And the next place was only five minutes away. so i bought a trainticket and waited for the train. Suddenly all this f@&€&@ing americans came and they were going with the same train! Claustrofobic and feeling invesible, again, i was on this train for five minutes and i hated it!
So now white wine in riomaggiore. Lots of it i think. I am not looking forward to take the train back to La Spezia. I need to be drunk!
5 Terre Are beautiful for sure. And i am glad i have seen it. Its actually very beautiful, but i dont want to stay here forever! too much tourism for me. Stay in lines, waiting, just listening to french, swedish and american. From now on I love italien people and want to speak only with them. Much more fun! If i am going here again i will have a car. Or my own boat!!!
So today was actually all in all a good day because of all the beautiful nature, houses and the local people.
And just to tell you guys, all this days i have seen or heard Caribbean on my way. Everyday! Bob Marley in the street in civitaveccia, a st. Vincent flag on one boat and just right now Get up stand up, dont give up the fight. Fits good for my temper today. ;-) and they play it twice to be sure i got the Message:-)
So next time, its Caribbean! For sure! With my brother! Italiy is Nice, but Caribbean is still closest to my heart!!
Tomorrow a new day. Maybe start heading south. Have a flight to catch on monday night from Rome to Bergen. And tuesday its back onboard on Ranger!
But you never know what tomorrow brings. Or what baglady decide to do!
See ya! Time to drink! Salute!!!
